Do Kwik-Hang brackets work with every type of window?
Kwik-Hang curtain rod brackets are designed for windows with traditional wooden trim. Not recommended for use on oak, pvc or metal trim.
Does the window trim need to be a certain width?
Window trim must be at least 1/2 inch minimum in width to one inch maximum in width to accommodate the Kwik-Hang bracket.
What size curtain rod should I purchase?
Curtain rod size depends on the type of curtains you want to hang.
- 5/8-inch rods: Ideal for sheer or lighter curtains. Fits rods 1/2 - 5/8-inch diameter.
- 1-inch rods: Best for heavy curtains or drapery. Fits rods with 3/4 - 1-inch diameter.

Do I need a center support bracket?
We recommend using center support brackets for windows wider than 60 inches. You can use this guide to help:
- Up to 60" window: Standard Kwik-Hang brackets.
- 61" or 120" windows: One center support bracket.
- Windows 120" and wider: Two center support brackets.
How many brackets come in each package?
Both single rod and double rod brackets come with two brackets for each side of your window. Center support brackets come as a single bracket.
How many brackets do I need to purchase for my window?
Single rod brackets and double rod brackets come with two brackets (for the left and right side of the window). For center support brackets, see our size recommendations below:
Up to 30" windows
No center support bracket needed
31" - 60" windows
Requires one center support bracket
61" - 90" windows
Requires two center support brackets
How do Kwik-Hang curtain holdbacks work?
Every Kwik-Hang curtain holdback has a set of pins that attach to the side of the window trim and secure it in place — no drilling, nails or damage required.
Do Kwik-Hang curtain holdbacks work with any type of window or curtain?
Kwik-Hang curtain holdbacks work on windows that have wooden trim. The window trim should be at least 1/2 inch wide to fully accommodate the holdback. Not recommended for use on oak, pvc or metal trim.
Kwik-Hang curtain holdbacks are suitable for all curtains and drapes.
What tools do I need to install my Kwik-Hang curtain holdbacks?
Kwik-Hang’s curtain holdbacks use the same technology as our damage-free curtain rod brackets. Just use a hammer to tap each curtain holdback hook to the side of your window trim (no drills, screws or nails needed!).
Where do I mount my Kwik-Hang curtain holdbacks?
Ideally, curtain holdbacks should be placed 40 to 48 inches from the floor, but this also depends on the placement of your window and your personal preference.

What tools do I need to hang my curtains?
You'll need a hammer to install your curtain rod brackets. (No drill, screws or nails necessary!)
How do I install my Kwik-Hang curtain rod brackets?
Using a hammer, position your Kwik-Hang bracket on the top corner of the window. Tap it in and repeat on the other side. Place your curtain rods in the bracket and you're good to go!

How much weight do Kwik-Hang brackets hold?
Kwik-Hang curtain rod brackets can hold up to 20 lbs., enough to support heavy drapery.
Are the brackets easily removable?
Yes. When you're ready, simply remove the curtains and curtain rod and lift up the bracket to disassemble.
Can I reuse Kwik-Hang curtain rod brackets?
Yes. You can quickly remove and reuse Kwik-Hang curtain rod brackets when moving.
There is a hole in the curtain rod bracket. Am I supposed to put a screw there?
No — you don't need any screws or nails. The hole is there for manufacturing purposes.
How far do the brackets come out from the wall?
The single brackets project 3 inches from the wall, and our double brackets project 4 inches from the wall.
How do I use Kwik-Hang curtain rod brackets on corner windows?
A corner window setup requires two curtain rods, one pair of curtain rod brackets (a left bracket and right bracket) and two center support brackets.
Follow our instructions for installing left and right brackets. Then install the center support brackets, each approximately 4 inches from the inner corner, as pictured below. (Click images to expand)
Remove one finial from each curtain rod and place your rods so that the finial ends point outward.
You may use a curtain rod corner connector if you wish, but it is not necessary.
